RALEIGH — In a week that included NCAA and ACC tournaments moving out of the Tar Heel state, at least one more North Carolina hallmark will consider joining the mass exodus.
House Bill HB2.
The bill released a statement explaining the decision to leave the Old North State:
“While I respect North Carolina and other organizations that intend to stay, and tacitly support bigotry, I feel I can no longer remain a state so mired in controversy and political turmoil. It has dirtied my good name.”
The bill added, “Plus did you hear, they don’t even have the NBA All-Star game anymore. Why even stay? There’s nothing good here anymore anyway.”
